2050 we are on track to have more plastic than fish in our ocean! say No to Plastic!

As we become more aware of ourselves, the environment and the planet, let's start 2018 as we mean to go on and keep raising awareness on the devastating and growing problem of plastic waste in our oceans, the horrendous effect it is having not only on our health but our children's future and injuring or killing marine animals that ingest or become trapped by plastic packaging just to satisfy our need for convenience.

comments Clare, founder Wild Azur, on visiting Bali..

" ...the plastic is not hidden neatly from us in landfills so it is much more apparent. It is thrown into the ocean and washed up on the beautiful beaches our children run along and it is truly shocking to see it in reality and know the problem is only getting worse. We always ask for drinks no straws and Never use plastic bags since discovering over 100 million marine animals are killed each year due to plastic debris in the ocean.. we can all do our bit.."

100 tons of debris is being removed a day now from the beaches but really the issue is preventing and removing the demand.

Garbage is aesthetically disturbing to tourists, but plastic waste issue is way more serious,. 'Microplastics can contaminate fish which, if eaten by humans, could cause health problems including cancer.

So Please join us in spreading the word and Cut back on the plastic you and your family use every day.

Take a reusable plastic bag to the supermarket, drink filtered water out of a reusable water bottle, eat locally produced food that doesn't come with lots of plastic packaging, so no to plastic straws in drinks, buy products that are sold in glass containers/packaging or other sustainable products...

We can all make a difference.

Wild Azur are proud to use recyclable miron glass containers for all their products.
